Yesterday my mom fainted for about 5 minutes. She frightened the life out of us especially my brother, my dad and my wife who was chatting with her. It is possible that she was too tired after travelling from Taipei or it could be a mild stroke. My brother directly took her to see a doctor.
My mom’s had high blood pressure for years. Her heart beat is also abnomal caused by her high blood pressure. She takes the same medicine (inderal & approvel) for almost 5 years to control it.
I am dead worried it was a mild stroke, worrying it will re-attack her. Hope and pray it was not, that she only felt tired and fainted.

Last night I had to drive my wife to the hospital because she had minor bleeding from her vagina. She was worried because the blood kept coming out, although not much. A day before, the doctor had examined her internal vagina which’s normal for pregnancy nearing a due date.

Tomorrow we have to wake up early again to see our obstetrician. He will decide whether my wife needs to undergo caesarean section. My wife is too fat with increase of 20 kgs and the baby himself is quite long, that’s why the doctor will have to consider caesarean instead of normal vaginal delivery.
I am worried with the caesarean section because after all it is still a big surgery. I cannot imagine the doctor cut open my wife’s stomach. On the other hand, I am also worried with the big size of my baby, I am worried that my wife will have difficulty in delivering him, causing her to endure pain.
I hope tomorrow our obstetrician will make the best decision. Whatever it is, caesarean or normal, I will have to prepare myself. Luckily, my wife is an easy-going type, easing my tension.

I have been sleeping in an air-conditioned room for several months, since I got married. I am getting used to it.
I used to object my wife switching on the air conditioner when we went to sleep. I said that I couldn’t sleep with air conditioner turned on because I couldn’t stand the cold air. But, forced by the situation and the fact that she couldn’t sleep without it, I gave up and let her switch it on. I myself, wore thick clothes.
Until now, I still prefer to sleep with minimum clothing without air conditioner. My wife prefer to sleep also with minimum clothing but with air conditioner. I think her body has fire element while mine is on the contrary.

Yesterday, August 12, was my wife’s birthday. No celebration, no present from me, nothing. She was mad.

I sent an e-mail to a catholic mailing list stating that I have with me some used clothes and whoever needs them to raise funds for church activities, they can contact me and I will deliver to them.
I used to sell used clothes for fund-raising when I was active in PMKRI several years ago. That’s why I know where to channel my used clothes :). I’d rather channel them out than pile them unused. I have no more rooms in my small house.
This morning Yovita from Choice e-mailed me inquiring about the used clothes. She left her mobile phone number so I called her back. We made arrangement and her colleague would pick up the clothes.

Believe it or not? One spot of my skin at my foot is infected by fungi, so itchy. It started with a blister at the affected area, so itchy that I could not help myself not to scratch. More scratching caused more blisters and more itchs. The fungi multiplied themselves very quickly so that the affected area became reddish. I tried to apply several kinds of powder with no improvement. My skin’s still itchy.
Feeling desperate, I went to a drugstore and asked for anti fungi powder or cream. I was amazed that there were many kinds of anti fungi drugs. Kalpanax, Fungiderm, Canesten, to mention a few. Both in powder and cream. I got myself a tube of Canesten cream after carefully reading its label. Later I found out it had clotrimazol that is very effective for fungal infections.
After two days of using the cream, the reddish area of my skin disappears slowly, so does the itching. Thank God that I feel no more discomfort. You don’t want to know what it’s like to have an itchy skin.
