Google came out with Google Desktop which is very useful in searching our own computer. Simply input any keywords and it will search all our documents or files or texts which have the keyword. Very useful indeed.

You can get it at http://desktop.google.com, free download.

I have just succesfully found an old Word document created years ago somewhere in my computer’s directories in a second.

We went to Nina’s residence to see her son, born one and half months earlier than Andrew. Unlike Andrew, Marco’s neck is strong now to support his head. I’ll just have to wait another month to see Andrew support his own head. Can’t wait! :)

Nice to see them. We can share experience in raising a son. At least, they are one and half months more experienced.

You don’t want to live beyond your means. As an Indonesian proverb says, “Besar pasak daripada tiang”. You won’t follow others’ lifestyle which is just not yours, resulting you live not within your means.

For me,my monthly salary should be enough to cover my family’s expenditure. This way I can save money for future use and emergency use. Thrift is the key word.

Sometimes, things are uncontrollable, though. We are forced to spend more and the fact that modern life is expensive. What can we do? Work harder lor.

My wife plans to buy a car. She will need a car when her maternity leave is due and she is back to work. She needs to go home during her lunch time to breastfeed our son and gets back to work after that. A private transportation is important and the new car will play its role.

At first, I objected her decision to buy another car because it would ruin my financial planning. I don’t have fund allocation for a new car. My kijang is still on credit.

Then, she convinced me the important of having another car as mentioned above. Moreover, her mom will provide the bigger amount of money and I only need to add the smaller amount.

We plan to buy a Jazz of Honda. It’s a budget car that is on high market demand. Let’s see.

The doctor prescribed 6 kinds of medicine for my mom for the treatment of her swelling heart. I spent one million rupiah something for the medicine. They were cedacode, xanax, ascardia, …. I forgot the rest.

She is scheduled to return next month to see the doctor and to renew the prescription.

Tomorrow morning, my mom is scheduled to see her doctors at Graha Medika, an internist and a cardiologist. I will drive her to hospital and accompany her to see the doctors. See if she has to continue taking that many types of medicine or not, ranging from Xanax, a tranquilizer to Cordarone which is used to correct irregular heartbeats. I am worried that she has to take these kinds of medicine.

I am optimistic that my mom will fully recover. She must live long to see my son go to school.

Andrew had his hair cut at Taman Anggrek. It took less than 5 minutes. Now his hair is neater, 1 cm long.

I spent million of rupiahs for hospitalization of my mom for a week. As a chinese proverb says, “spending money is like using water”, Now, I have better understanding of the proverb :) Everything is expensive and money seems to have decreasing value.

As long as I can, I have on doubt in spending money for my mom, for sure. I will allocate a certain amount of my income and put it in a saving for emergency use.

Finding a right nipple for my baby’s bottle is not that easy. From the start, we use Pigeon of Japan. At first, we buy rubber nipples which are softer but since the nipple is made from rubber, it has rubber smell when sterilized too often by heating it. Then we use a silicone nipple which is smell-free but it is harder than a rubber one. Consequently my baby has difficulty in sucking it. He is supposed to finish a 120 ml of milk in about twenty minutes but with a silicone nipple, he has to suck for about an hour, interrupted by crying when he sucks not hard enough and the milk won’t flow out.

Besides Pigeon, we also have a nipple from Avent but since he is used to suck Pigeon’s nipples, he won’t such Avent’s because of different texture.

Now, I am trying an M-size silicone nipple instead of S-size. The flow of milk will be smoother without putting too much effort in sucking. An M-size nipple is designed for 3 month old babies. My baby seems to be able to handle it.

My mom came out of hospital yesterday. Her condition was stable but she was limited to take maximum 1 litre water equal to 5 glasses of water per 24 hours. Additionally, she had to take 9 kinds of medicine.

My mom is still in ICU, however her condition is more stable now. If everything is progresing, she shall move out from ICU tomorrow. Her swelling heart brings her to the ICU.

It was 2 o’clock in the morning when my mom got upstairs and called my name in panic. I opened the door and she fell down and threw up. Her whole body was cold and sweating and the worst part’s she had difficulty in breathing. I was shocked. My wife suggested that I brought her to hospital immediately.

Arriving at the hospital, my mom was given oxygen to help her breathe. A stand-by doctor suggested that she was hospitalized in an ICU. Having no option, I signed a given form.

In the ICU, my mom was given a medication to treat her irregular heart beat and to take out water in her heart. I waited until morning when my brother and my dad came.

Didn’t go to work. Luckily my boss’s out of town, that way I didn’t feel uneasy.

Please pray for my mom. Pray that she will get well soon. I still owe her a lot.
