Andrew threw up to my face when he was about to sleep on Friday night. He threw up while playing with me on the bed when he threw his body on the pillow I was holding on my chest. He had just had a half bottle of water.

I was shocked. Part of my face and my shoulder was wet with thrown-up food. Andrew himself was shocked because some food was stuck in his throat and he cried. Immediately, I called my wife and she handled the situation more calmly, holding his son, tapping his back and giving him a drink of water.

I think Andrew hit his stomach when he jumped to me. He also drank too much water after just having his dinner. He is ok now.

‘I won’t let my son sleep with the nanny. My son, my own son, sleep with the nanny? No way!’, said a friend of mine. I appreciate his ways in raising his children. I believe every parents has their own ways and sometimes they are forced to use certain ways, forced by situations, economic background, family background, etc.

Just want to say that every parents has their ways and do not judge them.

I promise to myself that my sons will always have me or my wife beside them. If I have to travel, my wife will have to stay at home and vice versa.

Last week, I broke my promise. Both of us went to Singapore, leaving our sons with their grandmom. It must have been an important event that I broke my promise.

We smsed home regularly to check what Andrew and Bastian were doing, and only sometimes made phone calls. International calls aren’t cheap :)

I can’t enjoy travelling unless my sons are with their mom.
