The panda eats shoots and leaves.
The panda eats, shoots and leaves.

See the power of a comma (punctuation) above. I am reading a book titled Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss. In the book cover, a panda is erasing the comma. A very interesting topic by Lynne Truss.

It is about punctuation: comma, apostrophe. Punctuation is used in a phrase or a sentence when it's supposed to be without it and it's omitted when it's is supposed to be with punctuation.

Spent the weekend at home, looking after Andrew. He was sick, having a sore throat, didn't want to drink, hard to eat. His temperature's high. Cried and awake.

There are four lounges at Juanda airport, Surabaya: Citibank lounge, Mandiri Visa lounge, BCA Prioritas lounge and HSBC lounge. I have a Citibank and an HSBC credit card. It means that I can go to either Citibank or HSBC lounge. The problem is my wife has neither Citibank nor HSBC card. Of course he can use one of my cards but then we will be separated.

What’s the point of only drinking tea but we are not together? That’s what I thought but later I changed my mine. What’s the point of being together but we are not enjoying ourselves? :) So, I went to HSBC lounge and my wife, Citibank lounge. We spent our time not being together for about half an hour enjoying hot tea, fried banana and boiled peanuts. Both lounges provide similar snacks.

When I checked in in the check-in counter at Juanda airport, Surabaya, I handed over 4 pieces of my luggages to see how many kilograms they were. To my surprise, instead of putting the luggages on a scale, the guy simply lifted the luggage one by one and by using his feeling, he mentioned the weight of my luggages. Crazy, it was the first time I encountered this kind of thing, assessing a luggage’s weight. Speechless, I could only smile.

I am going to Surabaya tomorrow morning to attend a wedding party. Just city-checked-in and got the boarding passes. I checked in first to save time for tomorrow morning because our flight is quite early. Besides, to avoid being cancelled by Garuda. Sometimes, Garuda can anytime cancel a booking even we have booked weeks before.

I think a city check in facility is effective. Simply check in 24 hours before departure time, pay the airport tax of Rp. 30,000 for domestic flight and you will get the boarding pass.

Fyi, Garuda city check is located at Wisma Dharmala Sakti, Sudirman and it opens Monday to Sunday, working hours except Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm.
