Last week, November 15, Bastian had an accident. His right eye was stuck by a pencil at 9 pm. He played alone and the accident happened. He then went to see his mother crying, saying his right eye hurt.

We found that something was wrong with the eye. Besides it's was red, the pupil seemed not clear, not even.

I immediately took him to the hospital, Graha Kedoya, emergency room. The stand-by doctor, after consulting by phone with eye doctor, said Bastian had to have his eye operated soon, not exceeding the golden period of six hours. Otherwise, his eye would be infected by bacteria.

Luckily, the eye doctor came at 1 am and finished the surgery at about 3 am. We waited there praying hard.

Bastian stayed for two days at the hospital before returning home.

This morning, his eye was still swollen.

We must wait several months to see the progress. He might develop cataract and therefore must have it removed later.

I just hope nothing worse happen. Please pray for him. We will do our best to take care of him. Poor Bastian, he is only six.
