Inflation in Indonesia is hitting 7% to 8% and it’s very crucial. Do you know why? Because bank interest rate per year is less than inflation rate. Banks only give 6% to 7% interest for fixed deposit and 20% is to be deducted from the interest, so the net amount is about 5%.

What does it mean when inflation is high? It means that our saving keeps lessening, instead of growing. Then what should we do? I don’t know, perhaps we should find other investments that offer higher return. What are they? Mutual funds, probably or property or gold.

The bottom line is we have to take action to conquer inflation.
