I like to use an expression ‘no problem’ which I unconsiously translate it from a phrase in chinese ‘mei wen thi’ that is widely used to indicate that you are pleased to do something. If you don’t speak chinese, ‘no problem’ simply means no problem, I guess.

I often listen to Cakrawala Radio when I drive and one of the announcers use this expression a lot when somebody requests a song and he is pleased to play the request over the air, he will simply say, ‘ mei wen thi’.

‘…., hope his dreams about marriage life and having his own child come true soon’. A good wish from a friend two years ago while we were exchanging opinions on getting married earlier or later. At that time, I believe, both of us had no plan to get married soon. Perhaps both of us had no close friends yet, a would-be husband or wife.

Two years pass and things are so different now. I have a family now and so does my friend. I still fell it’s like yesterday since we were talking about marriage. Time flies.

Today’s is my wife’s birthday. She is 28 now.

Early in the morning, a friend of hers sent her a birthday cake together with things for Andrew. Also, sms and phone calls from her friends kept coming. Definetely, she has more friends than I do.

No special gift from me.

Everybody said ‘Now that you have a son, you will tend to go home earlier from office’. Smiling, I replied, ‘It will make no difference, I won’t miss my son that bad’.

That was when my son’s less than 10 month old. Now that he is nearing one year, I will have to withdraw my statement. Do you know why? Because he is responsive now. When I ask him, ‘Where is daddy?’, he will directly look at me and smile, stopping whatever he is doing. The same applies to his mommy and granny. The moment he looks at me with his innocent face, smiling, I feel so great, knowing that he knows me.

‘I will try to go home earlier’.

Attended a seminar by Rhenald Kasali titled ‘Change’ which is based on his latest book with the same title last Friday. A very interesting topic indeed. The speaker himself is very competent.

It started at 7 pm and ended at about 10 pm with about 90 attendees from Salim Group. We all had our dinner (supper) at 10 pm. In fact, Shangrila Hotel had prepared the dinner but due to abundant questions during the QA session, dinner turned to supper.
