It has been a week since Nina, my boss’s daughter, delivered her baby boy. He is named ‘Ignazio Marco Nugraha’. What a good choice of a name! Sounds Italian, right?

I, myself, have difficulty in finding a name for my baby boy to be born soon. First name is easier to find but finding a last name is hard. I don’t want him to carry my last name because mine sounds neither Chinese nor western. It is more like a Korean name, I think.

So, anybody has any idea on any good last names or first names, please let me know :)

Found some old photos of mine. They were taken about 20 years ago. Time flies so fast, strange...

I am retypying songs from Puji Syukur to be converted to PDA (Personal Digital Asistant) format so that PDA users, both Palm OS (Operating System) or Pocket PC OS can simply bring their PDA instead of bringing Puji Syukur.

So far, I have retyped fifteen songs and I will ask for more from Pak Bambang. He is the one who pioneered this project. Salute to him for the idea and for organizing the retyping. I have communicated with him and in the future, we may want to put all the songs from Puji Syukur to a web site. I have to know who has the copy right, is it Obor or KWI? Will do a check later.

My car had this strange noise when I drove it slowly and the noise drove me crazy. Sometimes it appeared, sometimes it disappeared. So, last Saturday, I had it checked at Toyota Daan Mogot after more than a month. I didn’t have time.

The guy of Toyota reluctantly received my complaints but after browsing my data at his computer and knowing that I am from Indosiar, he instantly changed. He became so considerate. He listened to my complaints attentively and even walked me to my car with a mechanic. I didn’t even have to pay for the service fee because he arranged it under a guarantee schema.

You know why he is so nice? I have a very good relationship with one of his colleagues and I always drop some souvenirs when I have my car serviced.

My car is ok now. The noise is gone. I am relieved.

If you need to print labels in a fast way, you should use a labeling software called SenLab. It helps a lot in printing labels, so easy and so fast. A colleague of mine introduced it to me when we sent out thousands of invitations on the wedding of Astrid. It saved us a lot of time.

Anybody needs to know how to use the software urgently, simply contact me and I will be more than happy to share my experience on how to use it efficiently.

As for the labels in A4 format, in Jakarta, you can get them from Maruzen in Kyoei Prince or Office 2000 in Plaza Indonesia. In Singapore, any big stationery stores should sell.

It is dangerous if you devote your life to something blindly. It is like you have your own world and you don’t have any intention to listen to others. You have your own friends with the same devotion, you spend most of your time with your group, even on weekends. That makes your way of thinking so narrow, so limited and you always consider you’re the one who is right, others are wrong. If someone critizice you, you regard it as a critic to your whole group.

Your social life is very poor. You try to avoid social gatherings. If a situation force you to attend, you will just come to show your face and then disappear.

You will do everything for your belief, for people who share your belief in unreasonable ways.

I am sending out about five hundred compact hand-made wallets consisting of a cross, a stole (stola), a container for oil, a container for host (bread) for Anointing of the Sick (one of the seven sacraments of the Roman Catholic) to about thirty dioceses in Indonesia. Priorities are given to dioceses outside Java island because they may need it more. The wallets are produced to celebrate the second death anniversary of Stanley Nugroho on 17 March 2004.

It is hoped by having this wallet, priests can do their job more conveniently.

I must get up at 5.30 am every two weeks to see our obstetrician at Graha Medika. After brushing our teeth and washing our face, without taking a shower, I directly drive to the hospital to get a number. If we are late a bit, say, we go there at 6.30 am, we will be numbered twenty something and we end up seeing the doctor at 2 pm. Can you imagine? Crazy but that’s the fact, we’d better be early or we’ll spend all day in the hospital.

That’s why a day before, I have to prepare breakfast. Early in the morning, I will already have with me two to three loaves of bread, hot water in a thermos bottle, sugar plus milk plus tea bag in a glass.

When I first met her and got to know her better through interaction, I came to a conclusion that she’s a career-chasing type, that she would prioritize her career over other things. I was wrong. She turns out to execute her two top priorities simultaneously.

What I am trying to say here is things change and even if the percentage has reached 99%, they change. Human can only make assumptions and predictions, time will reveal the fact.

I practically spent my weekend at Mangga Dua. Looking for stroller / pushchair, baby bed and other baby things turns to be time-consuming. To tell you the truth, I don’t like shopping so this kind of activity bores me a lot but I just have to do it. I keep telling myself that I must compromise and sacrifice, leaving my selfishness behind.

We agreed to buy a simple stroller called Classico of Pegperego. It was a simple and easy- to-carry stroller, not too heavy but not too light. For baby bed, we chose BabyDoes, made in Taiwan. The bed is so simple and easy to assemble and it can be taken apart when it is no longer used to save space.

Other baby needs are handled by my wife such as clothes, baby shampoo, soap, talcum powder, products of avent such as steam sterilizer, bottle warmer et cetera.
